The duo Dollyolli alias Marie Brenneis and Olivier Adam create surreal dance performances with choreographies of profane everyday gestures, whose aesthetics conflicts with today’s body ideals and calls into question the pursuit of conformity, standardization and perfectionism.
In a combination of installation and performance, the two Britons create extravagant mobile human and material sculptures that distort the proportions of performers and make them appear like beings of a fantastic counterworld.
As in the previous year, a dance performance with Mainz actresses and performers will be developed, especially for the festival.
