Data Security

Privacy Policy

(Effective 24th of May 2018)

General information

This privacy policy is supposed to inform the users of this website of the way, the extent and the purpose of the elicitation and usage of personal data by the operator of this website [see impressum].

The operator of this website takes the security of your data seriously and treats your personal data confidentially and according to the legal regulations. Since changes in this privacy policy can be made due to new technologies and the ongoing development of this website, we recommend for you to reread the privacy policy regularly.

Our website is SSL-encrypted.

Still there is warned against insecure content on our website.

This warning is a so-called “mixed content”-warning. Mixed content exists when a website contains a combination of secure (HTTPS) and insecure (HTTP) content which is sent to the browser via SSL. Insecure content can theoretically be read and modified by offenders, even though the superordinate website is offered over HTTPS.

The insecure content on our website most likely consists of links to websites which are not SSL-encrypted and/or embedded videos by Youtube or Vimeo.

Instead of taking our website off the internet because of this subsidiary hazard, we decided to still offer our website with the suggestion to not click on the referred to links if you want to avoid safety issues.  We will delete all insecure content gradually. When we are done doing so and our website is completely safe, you will be seeing a green lock at the browser line.

Definitions of the used terms (e. g. personal data) can be found at Art. 4 of the GDPR.

Access data

We, the website operators resp. website provider, are collecting data on ground of our eligible interest (see Art. 6 par. lit. f. GDPR) and save them as “server logfiles” on the server of our website. Following data is logged in that way:

  • visited website
  • time at the moment of access
  • amount of sent data in Byte
  • source/ reference, from which you accessed this website
  • used browser
  • used operating system
  • used IP-adress

Those server logfiles are being saved for a maximum of 7 days and will be deleted afterwards.

The data is being saved for safety reasons, e.g. to resolve cases in abuse. If data has to be saved as evidence, it is excluded from the deletion until the incident is resolved completely.

Reach measurement & cookies

This website uses cookies for pseudonymized reach measurement which are broadcasted either from our server or the server of a third party to the browser of the user. Cookies are small files which are saved on your terminal device. Your browser accesses those files. By using cookies, the user-friendliness and safety of this website is being improved.

If you do not want that cookies are being saved on your terminal device for reach measurement you can object the usage of those files here:

Established browsers also give the possibility in their settings to disallow the usage of cookies. Please note: It is not guaranteed that you can use all functions on this website without restriction if you choose that setting.

Acquisition and processing of personal data

The operator of this website only collects, saves and shares your personal data if it is legal or you agree to the collection of data.

All information which helps to ascertain you or can be retraced towards you is considered to be personal data – e.g. your name, your e-mail and phone number.

You can visit this website without giving out information on yourself. But, to improve our website we are collecting your access data on this website (without personalization). This kind of access data entail e.g. the file requested by you or the name of your internet provider. Because of the anonymization of the data, drawing conclusions on you personally is not possible.

The usage of our website is generally possible without you giving information on your personal data. If there is personal data (e.g. your name, address or email) being collected it happens, if possible, on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to a third party without your explicit approval. We point out that data transfer via internet (e.g. when communicating via email) can entail security gaps. And end-to-end protection of the data against access of a third party is not possible. The usage of the contact data which is being posted because of the obligation to post a site notice by a third party to send not agreed on advertisement or information leaflets is hereby explicitly dissented. The operators of this website explicitly reserve the right to take legal actions if not agreed on advertisement is being sent, e.g. spam mails.
