Mainz as a city supports the pad with an annual institutional promotion. This is used for office expenses, small staging-related purchases and operating costs, among other things. Various projects (such as the International Performance Festival and the Dance Weekend) are subsidized via a project fund upon application.
Ever since 2010 the ministry for education, science, youth and culture in Rhineland-Palatinate supports the pad’s annual own production with their project funding. Schmitt&Schulz usually work together with guest artists to organize and stage performance-projects, event-series or a theme-week that is presented at the end of the year. (Nov/Dec)
From 2009 on, our main partner for the International Performance Festival in April/May of each year has been Kultursommer, an organization for art and culture in Rhineland-Palatinate. Since 2014 KuSo also supports a smaller annual even-series for the pad, our Dance Weekend (refer to program structure).
From the beginning, Stadtwerke Mainz AG has been a loyal sponsor to the pad and has supported us with an annual financial contribution ever since.
The foundation LOTTO Rhineland-Palatinate has be has been a loyal sponsor to the pad and has supported us with an annual financial contribution ever since.
Our partnership with the company Laux has been going on for many years and started long before the pad was founded. By spontaneously lending us simple but complete technical stage equipment, free of charge, Peter Laux helped us significantly to start up in 2007. It made the transformation from empty storage hall to usable stage possible.
Computer Planet Mainz supports the pad through electronic data processing maintenance, repair and new purchases, free of charge or low priced.
