From contemplative small gestures and bizarre acts with everyday objects such as marbles, playing figures and boxes unfolds by their enormous concentration and presence a morbid magic game in a fascinating quiet atmosphere. “Work in Regress” is a highly exciting, non-verbal solo performance about a lone authority that reaches its limits. Placed in the empty space and without opposing each other, the impotent and seemingly insane figure of ruler embodied by Popovici with oppressive intensity loses himself in neurotic and obsessive rituals of an enigmatic parallel world.
