As a taste of our Fringe Theater Festival, we are already showing the new solo project of Zurich based Phil Hayes, who will be represented in the festival program (September) with his duo “Where Were We”.
In “The First Cut” hayes goes in a search for lost time in a mirror cabinet of fantasy and reality, in a duel between the self and the other. An accident robbed his biography and ego. Now he reconstructs with the help of old friends, photos and films what his former life should have been. But Phil remains suspicious. Which version of his life is right? Was it the way eyewitnesses and pictures claim, and why not otherwise? “The First Cut” encircles these questions with the means of video, speech and music.
